Top 5 CoQ10 Supplements of 2025 – A Buyer’s Guide

Choosing the right supplements that promote healthy improvements in your life may sound overwhelming, but it is important to focus on these three key points: Natural ingredients, effectiveness, and value for money.

If you’re new to the supplement world you’re probably wondering, “what is CoQ10?” Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is produced naturally and helps generate energy in your cells. It also serves as an antioxidant and helps protect your cells from oxidative stress.[1,2] However, as we age the product of CoQ10 tends to decrease. And oftentimes food sources don’t give us the recommended amount of CoQ10 our bodies need. That’s where supplements come in.

CoQ10 supplements have gained major popularity, especially among older people, because of their superior benefits. CoQ10 benefits include heart health, antioxidant support, and energy production—among a handful of other wellness benefits.[3,4] The majority of CoQ10 supplements come with price tags that don’t reflect the quality of the product. Fortunately, we’ve discovered the company 'Pattern Wellness' that has been creating waves on social media with their high-quality CoQ10 supplement with a price tag that won’t break the bank!

Interested, but not sure where to begin?

Look for a CoQ10 supplement that is pure and effective. The less on the label, the better. You’ll want to look for CoQ10 on the label as Kankea Ubiquinol® Q30. Additionally, the best CoQ10 supplements are crafted with the addition of Bioperine® which enhances absorption.

Finally—you’ll want a superior quality CoQ10 supplement that is made with naturally sourced ingredients for maximum results. Find a CoQ10 supplement that only has the essentials without the unnecessary ingredients. There are high-quality supplements out there that are free of gluten, dairy, and soy and are non-GMO and vegan-friendly.

It can be difficult to know which are the best CoQ10 supplements on the market. We’re here to help. We’ll show you what to look for and what to avoid when picking CoQ10 supplements, and how they can help transform your health and well-being.

What You Need In The Perfect CoQ10 Supplement

Taking all of the healthful attributes listed above into consideration, we've boiled down a list of four key characteristics you should always look for in quality CoQ10. Try to seek out all of these qualities:

Pure Ingredients

Supplements should give you only what you need and nothing that you don’t. Look for supplements that have pure, simple ingredients—the less on the label, the better. It ensures you are getting all the benefits that CoQ10 has to offer.
In terms of CoQ10, look for Ubiquinol on the label, which is a highly bioavailable form of CoQ10. Another great addition to CoQ10 supplements is Bioperine® Black Pepper extract, as it has been shown to increase nutrient absorption of vitamins and minerals in the body.[10,11,12,13]

Naturally Sourced & Allergen-Free

A lot of supplements on the market can contain common allergens and genetically modified ingredients that aren’t all that healthy for you. Find a CoQ10 supplement that is naturally sourced and has quality ingredients that are certified vegan, non-GMO, and free of gluten, dairy, and soy.

Effective Dosage & Practices

In the world of supplements, the dosage is important. Based on potencies used in clinical studies, the proper dosage amount for CoQ10 is 200 mg per serving.[1]

Additionally, look for CoQ10 supplements that are Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Certified and made in the USA. This means that the product met strict manufacturing quality standards and was adequately tested and dosed for optimal effectiveness.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee

Make sure that the product you buy has a clear satisfaction guarantee on all product purchases. This proves the company is confident in its products and its priority is to give customers peace of mind when buying their products.

What To Avoid when buying COQ 10 Supplement

Unnecessary Additives

Labels on supplements are sometimes created with the intention of being deceiving or confusing to the consumer. This is due to the fact that many supplements come with binders, fillers, preservatives, potential allergens, and other unnecessary additives like food coloring. These additives provide no medical benefit and disregarding them may potentially cause allergic reactions or sensitivity.

When it comes to choosing your moringa supplement, be picky. Check the ingredients and don’t settle for less than healthy.

Sacrificing Quality for Price

Selecting the cheapest rather than the best quality can potentially do you more harm than good. If brands don’t identify certain ingredients or nutrients and their amounts in each dose, you could end up with an ineffective or potentially harmful supplement.

However, the dosage is slightly lower than Pattern Wellness at 100 mg of CoQ10. Additionally, while the product is gluten-free, it is not suitable for vegans as it contains gelatin for its softgel capsules.

Integrative Therapeutics’ CoQ10 is next to make our list. Their formula is crafted with 100 mg of CoQ10 (Ubiquinone)—which is a slightly lower dosage than we would prefer—is free of gluten and any artificial ingredients. However, there is no Bioperine added to their formula.

While the dosage may be lower, this is still a quality product that has been well touted amongst shoppers. We just wish their return policy reflected the reputation of the brand.

  • Non-GMO & Free of Gluten, Wheat, & Dairy

CONS

  • No Bioperine®
  • Some Quality Control Issues
  • No Returns Permitted
The Bottom Line

Supplements should be simplistic and this CoQ10 from Solgar is just that. It is crafted with 200 mg of CoQ10 (Ubiquinone) and is a vegan-friendly, non-GMO formula that is free of gluten, wheat, and dairy. While we’re happy with the dosage and quality ingredients, we were also missing the addition of Bioperine® here.

While this is a great product, there are pros and cons to packaging their supplement in a glass bottle. The bottle is dark and seals shut so your supplements stay fresh. However, the bottle itself is fragile and some of the capsules arrived broken or not completely filled. While their return policy allows you to return if damaged, they do not permit returns in any other cases. So this bottle will need to be handled with care.

While this formula offers many benefits and uses quality ingredients, we don’t feel the price quite reflects the product. This product doesn’t contain Bioperine or anything else to enhance the formula.
